In a small Industrial Ethernet network, a single network management station is sufficient.

For larger and more complex installations, it is typical to have multiple management stations. This provides greater safeguards by allowing several network operators to supervise the network simultaneously, and from different locations. Or maybe the network administrator needs an overall picture, while individual operators are responsible for their own network segment.

So is it necessary to spend time and effort configuring multiple management stations? Or do you need to waste bandwidth and processing resources having multiple stations interrogate the network devices? Of course not.

This is why Industrial HiVision uses the Client/Server method.

The Industrial HiVision server holds all the required network information, including the database of network devices, the event log, and the topology maps. This information is available to an unlimited number of clients.

And to make this system even more appealing, you only pay for the server. You can deploy as many clients as you require, free of charge.
