Industrial HiVision
- Graphical User Interface
The main Industrial
HiVision window provides fully customisable topology maps of all or part
of your network. Each window supports a background image which can be
used, for example, to display a site plan.
The maps can consist
of the following components:
- folders - used
to open sub-maps
- device icons -
active, with customisable status colours, size, flashing, and text.
Industrial HiVision is delivered with libraries of realistic and abstract
switch and end device icons, and you can create your own using standard
graphics software.
- links - to show
connections between devices. These are also active, with colours and
patterns depicting the status of each link. A single click shows you
the bandwidth utilisation.
- other icons - passive
icons used to show the position of unmanageable devices.
- text labels - used
to add additional information to a map.
The left side of the
screen shows your map (and therefore network) heirarchy, using an intuitive
tree structure which is also colour-coded for status.
User benefits:
- exact description
of your network topology and device location.
- network status
at a glance.
- easy fault finding.
- port numbers and
link labels can be hidden for clarity.
- maps can be locked
to maintain look and feel.
- zoom function to
accommodate any size of network.
- maps can be printed
and exported for instant network documentation.
